Client Woodland Garden Design, Wimborne Dorset

This property has a spacious patio in front of the house, used as a relaxing entertainment area overlooking a huge lawn giving the feeling of being in a Woodland. My Client wanted uniformity and neatness. Plans were also afoot to lay a large rectangular paved area feeding off the patio again with added uniformity complimenting the original patio, plus space for their jacuzzi.  This area was designated for tall, uniform pots with Red Robin variegated, Olives and Osmanthus standards, Clematis and lower growers for fullness and colour at the base of the pots.

There was nothing planted in the enormous lawn. It was decided to plant a 25 metre x 1.5m garden feeding off the brand new patio. Added to this, overgrown Laurus nobilis (Bay) were amongst huge Hazelnuts. Bay was trimmed and Hazels removed, roots and all, in this area I sowed meadow seed which has all germinated and will be looking fabulous in the spring.  I also set to work making all this beautiful, giving a very natural, flowing woodlandy feel.
